From higher power requirements for blades or central storage devices, local support to facilitate reboots, component replacement or patching to the provision for ecologically minded customers of a carbon offset plan to ensure their infrastructure is carbon neutral.

Optional rack additions and changes

In addition to the features of the base racks, the following options are available:

1. Remote hands, which provide onsite technical assistance* for common tasks including:

• Powering on/off servers

• Changing parts on failed servers such as disks, memory, CPU, NIC & HBA

• Changing of tapes located in server drives.

2. Environmental monitoring on a per rack basis, two temperature sensors per rack and one humidity sensor every two racks along with a beacon one beacon to ensure that each rack is monitored exactly. To ensure your servers run at optimal performance we track environmental data, ensuring that any imbalance in your rack is noticed in the shortest possible time

3. Our racks do not have side panels. This allows easy cabling between racks in a row used by the same customer. The end racks and those between customers are fitted with rack side panels. If you wish to segregate some of your racks using end panels, these can be purchased for an additional one-off cost.

4. Power outlet upgrade options are available as required by some equipment (blades, SAN storage arrays etc).
